Women Inch Closer To Hosting Regionals, While Men Jump in Regional Rankings

Wome Remain #1 in Central Region, Men Move to #7

February 25, 2010.  Durango, CO.  -  The Fort Lewis College men's and women's basketball teams represented in the most recent Central Region Rankings. The women remain atop the Central Region with an in-region record of 23-2. They have been ranked #1 in the region since the first regional ranking was released. The men have jumped from the #8 slot to the #7 spot with an in-region record of 15-7. The top 8 teams in the region will participate in the NCAA Regional Tournament. 

The Women are on track to be the first team in FLC Basketball history to host a regional tournament. If the men can remain in the top 8 of the Central Region, they will most likely be heading to Minnesota for the fourth consecutive year. Listed below are the central regional rankings for both the men and women. 

March 3rd will be the last release of the regional rankings.
