Schreibvogel leads Skyhawks to 69-43 rout of Eagles

Third-ranked Fort Lewis extends unbeaten streak to 11 games

Box Score

CHADRON, Neb. — Dana Schreibvogel scored 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds as No. 3 Fort Lewis (11-0 overall, 6-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) defeated Chadron State (2-9, 0-7) 69-43 this afternoon at Armstrong Gymnasium.

Fellow Skyhawk forward Mary Rose Paiz added 10 points and seven rebounds.

Schreibvogel went 8-of-15 from the field and 9-of-10 from the charity stripe.

The Skyhawks led the entire game. A strong defensive showing in the first half set the tone, as FLC held the Eagles to just 14 points en route to a 31-14 at intermission. Chadron State would finish the contest shooting just .300 from the field (15 of 50) and .000 from long distance (0 for 17). The Eagles also committed 26 turnovers.

Fort Lewis, perhaps rusty from a two-week holiday layoff, committed 20 miscues and shot a sub-par .182 from behind the arc (two of 11).

The Skyhawks outrebounded the Eagles 42-37 and shot a solid .750 from the free throw line (15 of 20).

Stephanie Beeman came off the bench to score nine points for FLC, while senior point guard Abby Jackson added eight points and four assists.

The Eagles were led by Marla Munson's 11 points. Jazmyn Webster added 10 points and seven caroms.
