Box Score DURANGO, Colo. – UC-Colorado Springs handed the No. 12 Fort Lewis College women's soccer team a 2-0 loss Friday afternoon at Dirks Field.
The loss, which is only the Skyhawks second loss of the season, moves them to 9-2 overall and 5-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The win for the Mountain Lions snapped a three game losing streak and puts them at 7-3 overall and 4-3 in league games.
After a scoreless first half, UC-Colorado Springs took advantage of a corner kick at 52:26. Jess Freeze and Annick Pearson earned assists on Taylor Braden's game-winning goal.
Hannah Levett added an insurance goal for the Mountain Lion off of a UCCS free kick.
The Skyhawks will play at New Mexico Highlands on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m.
