Box Score GOLDEN, Colo. – Facing each other for the third time this season, the Fort Lewis College women's soccer team fell at No. 2 Colorado School of Mines, 2-1, in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship game.
 
The Skyhawks, seeded No. 3 in the tournament, move to 16-5-0 on the season.  Three of the Skyhawks five losses this year have come in the hands of Colorado Mines.  The Orediggers, who have now won the conference tournament three straight years, remain unbeaten at 19-0-1.
 
Anna Deleray gave the Orediggers an early lead just four minutes into the game. Holly Weyand sent the ball to Deleray on a breakaway who had a shot 13 yards out.  Just seven minutes later, the Orediggers went up 2-0 when Anna Evans scored her 14^th goal of the season off of CSM's corner kick.
 
Less than two minutes before halftime, Therese Romero cut the lead to 2-1 for Fort Lewis when she took a shot from 20 yards out on the far left wing that ended up in goal.
 
A scoreless second half led to the Orediggers 19^th win of the season.
 
CSM held a slight 7-6 advantage in shots in the first half, but Fort Lewis dominated the second half, out-shooting CSM 9-1.
 
Sam Weiss and Grace Sheridan tied for game high honors with three shots each.  Two of Weiss' shot attempts landed on goal.
 
The Skyhawks are currently ranked second in the NCAA Division II South Central Region.  The 2013 NCAA tournament field will be announced Monday evening at 5:30 p.m. on www.ncaa.com.
