Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Junior quarterback Max Baiz has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week, announced today from league headquarters.
 
Baiz started and played in his first game of the season for the Skyhawks this past Saturday against Western New Mexico.  He led the Skyhawks to a 38-28 home win over the Mustangs after completing 15 of 27 passes for 207 yards and three touchdowns.  Baiz also led the Skyhawks in rushing with 88 yards on 15 carries and a score.  He had a hand in four of the five touchdowns scored against WNMU.
 
Baiz recorded five rushing first downs and five passing first downs against the Mustangs.  One of his five rushing first downs came on third-and-13 in the fourth quarter.  The Skyhawks scored on that drive to give them a38-28 lead.
 
Fort Lewis will travel to No. 5 CSU-Pueblo this Saturday for a 2 p.m. game.
