Orediggers Blank Skyhawks, 2-0

DURANGO, Colo. – October 17, 2014 – Facing the fourth ranked team in the nation Friday afternoon at Dirks Field, the Fort Lewis College women's soccer team fell 2-0 to Colorado School of Mines.  The loss moves the Skyhawks to 4-4-5 overall and 3-2-4 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.  The Orediggers, who have allowed only five goals all year, improve to 11-1-2 overall and 8-1-1.
 
The Ordiggers netted both goals in the first half.  Emily Garnier took a corner kick in the 39th minute which led to a header by Brooke Stoermer.  Kenzie King added an insurance goal at 44:35.
 
CSM outshot Fort Lewis, 11-7 (6-2 shots on goal).
 
The Skyhawks will travel to Colorado State University-Pueblo Sunday afternoon for a 12 p.m. game.
