GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – October 24, 2014 – The tenth-ranked team in the country held the Fort Lewis College men's soccer team scoreless Friday night under the lights at Walker Field in Grand Junction, Colo.  Colorado Mesa University defeated the Skyhawks, 1-0. 
With the loss, FLC drops to 8-7-0 overall and 6-5-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.  CMU improves to a 12-2-1 overall and 10-1-0 in the league. 
Roy Abergil scored the lone goal of the game for CMU at 18:42.  
The game featured seven yellow cards, six of which went against the Mavericks.  The Skyhawks played 11 v 10 for the final 36 minutes after a CMU player received a red card. 
Fort Lewis outshot the Mavericks, 18-8.  Both teams registered eight shots on goal. 
Defender 
Maik Brandt led both teams with six shots.  Three of them landed on goal. 
Ryan Schaul made six saves in 56 minutes before leaving with an injury.  
Niall Burdon recorded one save in the final 33 minutes. 
Fort Lewis will travel to Denver on Sunday to face MSU, Denver at 1 p.m.
