COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – September 25, 2014 – Fort Lewis College recorded 49 kills at University of Colorado Colorado Springs Thursday night, but the Skyhawks volleyball team was unable to win in five sets, falling to the Mountain Lions 25-15, 16-25, 25-23, 19-25, 13-15.
The Skyhawks blocked 12 attacks by the Mountain Lions with
Madi Bickle accounting for 4.5 of those blocks (one solo, seven block assists). Ashely Wells recorded a team high 15 kills and added a .220 hitting percentage, 18 digs and three block assists.
Emily Dellenbach notched a match high .379 hitting percentage with 12 kills and only one error on 29 attempts.
Senior setter
Ciara Krening assisted on 27 kills while
Kennedy Clark added 14 assists.
Ally Dell'Amico's 20 digs were a team high and one short of tying for match high honors.
Kim Catlett led three Mountain Lions in double digit kills with 21.
For the match, the Skyhawks posted 49 kills and hit .164 as a team (24 errors, 152 attempts).
The Skyhawks will play at Metro State Friday night at 7 p.m.
