Women’s Soccer Wins Third Straight

DURANGO, Colo. – October 2, 2015 – Ana Moran scored her first goal of the season with two minutes and 45 seconds left in regulation to lift the Fort Lewis College women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Western State Colorado University Friday afternoon at Dirks Field.  The win marked the Skyhawks third straight win as they improve to 6-2-1 overall and 4-1-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

Moran found the back of the net after cleaning up a scramble from Brooke Milliet's throw in.  The shutout win was the Skyhawks third of the season and their second win ever against the Mountaineers.

WSCU drops to 4-5-1 overall and 2-4-0 in the league.  The Mountaineers outshot the Skyhawks, 20-11 overall and 12-5 shots on goal.

Caitlyn Espinosa stopped all 12 shots on goal for her 26th career shutout.
