Women’s Soccer Ends Regular Season with a 0-0 Draw

GUNNISON, Colo. – November 1, 2015 – For the seventh time this season, the Fort Lewis College women's soccer team held their opponent scoreless as FLC played to a double overtime 0-0 draw at Western State Colorado University Sunday afternoon in Gunnison, Colo.  It also marked the fifth time this season the Skyhawks were held without a goal.

"The girls played decent soccer today," said head coach Jimmy Hall.  "It was a rough game.  We had good chances to score but we didn't put them away.  Our team did a good job on this road trip and I'm proud of them."

With today's non-conference match, the Skyhawks finished the regular season 11-4-3 overall.  FLC is the No. 2 seed in the 2015 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference tournament with an 8-2-1 league mark.

Jenna Brown came off the bench to tally a team high three shots for the Skyhawks.  Courtney Riley added two shots, both of which were on goal.  Alicia Sanchez and Renee Terrell also chipped in two shot attempts.

Caitlyn Espinosa made five saves in goal as she faced nine shots on the day.

The 2015 RMAC Women's Soccer bracket will be announced later tonight.  The Skyhawks will face the winner between No. 3 seed UCCS and No. 6 seed New Mexico Highlands.
