DURANGO, Colo. – November 18, 2015 – A 15-point win by the Fort Lewis College men's basketball team Wednesday improved their record to 3-0 as they defeated Northern New Mexico College, 86-71, Wednesday night at Whalen Gymnasium.
FLC netted nearly 50 percent from the floor as they made 31 of 63 field goals (49.2 percent), and 17 of 24 free throws (70.8 percent).
Rasmus Bach led both teams offensively with 23 points. Bach finished the game making 10 of 13 field goals, 2 of 3 from long range and 1 of 1 from the charity stripe. He added four rebounds and two steals.
Cade Kloster chipped in 17 points after making 5 of 10 field goals and 5 of 7 free throws.
Will Morse came off the bench to hit five baskets, two of which were from behind the arc.
FLC scored 15 points off of 17 turnovers by the Eagles. The Skyhawks bench also netted 26 points to NNMC's 19 points.
The Eagles missed 14 free throws to finish the game making 7 of 21.
FLC will return to the court Nov. 27-28 when they play Haskell Indian Nations and Evangel in Golden, Colo.
