Kroeger, Becker Duo Lead Skyhawks to 3-0 Win in RMAC Quarterfinal

DENVER – November 4, 2015 – Juniors Tamino Kroeger and Yannis Becker teamed up to score and assist on all three goals Wednesday afternoon as the Fort Lewis College men's soccer team defeated MSU Denver at Regency Athletic Complex in the quarterfinal round of the 2015 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Tournament.

Kroeger netted the game-winning goal just two minutes and eight seconds into the game from Becker's assist.  Kroeger took a shot from inside the box that went across the net for his eighth goal of the season.

Zac Lawrence found Becker at 21:21 for a 2-0 lead when Becker took a deep shot that went across the goal and into the back of the net.

Leading 2-0 at halftime, Kroeger sealed the win when he and Becker went on a breakaway for the final goal of the game, 3-0.

The Skyhawks hammered out 12 shots against the Roadrunners, six of which landed on goal.  All three of Kroeger's game high shots were on target.

Freshman Elliot Chadderton stopped all five of MSU Denver's shots on goal to improve 11-3-2 and notch his seventh shutout of the season.

FLC will now face top seed Colorado Mines on Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the semifinal round in Golden, Colo.
