DURANGO, Colo. – December 11, 2015 – The Fort Lewis College women's basketball team suffered their first home loss and their first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference loss of the season Friday night against Colorado School of Mines, 57-56.
With the score tied at 56-56, the Orediggers Emily Bailey was fouled a shot attempt. Bailey missed her first attempt but made the second for CSM's second straight RMAC win.
The game featured 13 lead changes and was tied seven times. CSM led by as many as 11 points with 6:43 left in regulation before the Skyhawks went on a 16-5 run to tie the game with 29 ticks remaining after
Michelle Turner buried a long three-pointer.
Fort Lewis (5-2, 1-1 RMAC) was held to a season low 56 points after making a season low 16 points and shooting a season low 25.4 percent from the floor (16 of 63).
Kylie Santos led both teams with 14 points. Twelve of her points came from long range as she netted 4 of 12.
Astrea Reed added 10 points and
Mary Rambo chipped in eight points and a team high nine rebounds.
Fort Lewis will play host to Colorado Christian University Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
