FLC suffered a 68-54 road loss to Colorado State-Pueblo on Friday, Dec. 18. Â The 54 points are the fewest FLC has scored the season, and the five steals against CSUP are a season low. Â The ThunderWolves 68 points are the second most scored against Fort Lewis this season and the 50 rebounds CSUP pulled down are the most this season by a Skyhawk opponent.
FLC will open the New Year at home, playing host to UCCS on Jan. 1 at 12 p.m. and MSU Denver on Jan. 2 at 5:30 p.m. Â It will be the Skyhawks first Rocky Division opponents of the season.
FLC leads the league in scoring with 73.7 points per game.
Friday's opponent, UCCS, leads the league in multiple categories, including assists (156), free throw percentage (76.6%), steals (132), 3-point field goal attempts (294) and made (83), and turnovers (12.0 per game). Â UCCS is 6-5 overall and 2-3 in the RMAC. Â They are coming off two home losses to Regis and Chadron State.
The Roadrunners enter the weekend on a three-game winning streak. Â MSU Denver is 5-6 overall, 3-2 in league games and they are 1-1 on the road. Â The Roadrunners are one of the top free throw shooting teams in the league with a league best 223 free throw attempts and 154 made free throws. Â Emily Hartegan leads all RMAC players with a 96.2 free throw shooting percentage.
