PUEBLO, Colo. – March 3, 2015 – The Fort Lewis College men's basketball season came to an end Tuesday night with a 72-63 setback to Colorado State University-Pueblo at Massari Arena in Pueblo, Colo.

Fort Lewis led by as many as 13 points in the first half and held a 29-26 lead at halftime. The ThunderWolves outscored FLC in the second half, 46-34. After shooting only two free throws in the first half, CSU-Pueblo made 14-of-19 in the second half. FLC made all four first half free throws, but missed eight in the second half, netting 13-of-21.
RMAC Defensive Player of the Year
Alex Herrera led the Skyhawks with 17 points, two blocked shots and six rebounds.
Jared Smith made 4-of-6 field goals and 3-of-4 from behind the arc for 13 points.
Lucas Archuleta came off the bench to add 11 points and four rebounds.
The Skyhawks forced 13 CSUP turnovers and scored 15 points off of turnovers. CSU-Pueblo outscored the Skyhawks in the paint, 30-24.
Fort Lewis made 20-of-51 field goals (39.3 percent) and 17-of-25 from the charity stripe (68 percent).
CSU-Pueblo's Jed Knafelc led all scorers with 23 points.
The loss for the fifth seed Skyhawks in the quarterfinal round of the 2015 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament moves the Skyhawks to 20-9 overall. No. 4 seed CSU-Pueblo improves to 21-8 and will play top seed MSU Denver Friday in the semifinal game.
