DURANGO, Colo. – September 23, 2015 – Freshman
Elliot Chadderton made two saves to record his third shutout of the season as the Fort Lewis College men's soccer team posted a 2-0 home win over Adams State University Wednesday afternoon at Dirks Field.
With the win, the Skyhawks improve to 5-2-0 overall and 3-0-0 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference games. The Grizzlies drop to 1-5-0 overall and 1-2-0 in the league.
Zac Lawrence played a hand in both goals for the Skyhawks. He notched an assist on
Tamino Kroeger's fourth goal of the season and Wednesday's game-winning goal at 64:07. Lawrence added an insurance goal ten minutes later from
Yannis Becker's assist.
The Skyhawks tallied 21 shots to ASU's 10, 12 of which came in the second half. Kroeger and
Andres Lopez led both teams with four shots each while Kroeger landed all four of his shots on goal.
Fort Lewis will play their fourth game in eight days when they play host to Colorado State University-Pueblo Friday afternoon at 3 p.m.
