DURANGO, Colo. – September 25, 2015 – After playing their first 10 matches on the road, the Fort Lewis College volleyball team opened their home season Friday night at Whalen Gymnasium against University of Colorado Colorado Springs. The Skyhawks fell in four sets (22-25, 25-18, 13-25, 17-25).
The Skyhawks hit .314 in the first set, tallying 13 kills on 29 attempts and posted a 54 sideout percentage. In set two which they won by seven points, the Skyhawks tallied 12 kills and hit .243 with a 63 percent sideout mark.
Matisse Monty tallied 11 kills and 11 digs for the Skyhawks.
Delaney Scanlan recorded 19 assists and
Kendra Swackenberg added 12 while the Skyhawks finished with 39 set assists.
Ally Dell'Amico dug up 12 attacks to go with two service aces.
The Mountain Lions' Kim Catlett led all players with 24 kills. Taylor Hamilton added 13 kills and hit .458 at the net.
Fort Lewis will play host to MSU Denver Saturday at 5 p.m.
