Â The Skyhawks are 7-1 all-time against the Aggies. Â FLC is on a seven game winning streak against OPSU and are 4-0 at home versus the Aggies.
The Skyhawks faced OPSU last season and earned a 45-38 win on the road. Â FLC trailed 31-17 heading into the fourth quarter before outscoring the Aggies, 28-7.
FLC notched 478 yards against OPSU last year, 373 of which came in the air. Â Doyle added 86 rushing yards and three rushing touchdown's to his 373 passing yards. Â In the comeback quarter, he threw for two scores and rushed in for two more.
Oklahoma Panhandle State is located in Goodwell, Okla. and has an enrollment of 1,400. Â
The Aggies are under fourth-year head coach Russell Gaskamp. Â OPSU finished the 2014 season 7-3 overall.
Fort Lewis College opened their 2015 season at FCS No. 11 Montana State University. Â The Skyhawks fell to the Bobcats, 45-14.
Last week's game at MSU was the only night game for the Skyhawks this season.
The Skyhawks held the Bobcats to 14 points in the first half. Â Only three teams accomplished that feat in 2014: Arkansas State (L, 37-10), Montana (L, 34-7) and Weber State (W, 23-13).
Sophomore running back
PJ Hall and senior quarterback
Jordan Doyle led the Skyhawks offensive running attack. Â Hall carried the ball 20 times for a net gain of 75 yards. Â Doyle rushed 13 times for 58 yards. Â His longest scramble of the game was 16 yards.
Doyle completed eight passes on 14 attempts for 50 yards and one touchdown for an efficiency rating of 96.43.Â
Allen Thigpen was all over the field against the Bobcats. Â He caught two passes for three yards before running for a first down on a fake punt. Â He finished the game with five carries and 16 yards. Â Thigpen, who also serves as a backup quarterback, completed 2-of-3 passes for 53 yards and a touchdown pass to junior wide receiver
Jordan Gillen.
Six Skyhawks charted their first career starts at Fort Lewis College. Â On the offensive line,
Preston Geib and
Matt Mahe started at left guard and right guard, respectively. Â Redshirt freshman
Mason Hatton started at the receiver position, making two catches for 20 yards. Â On the defensive side of the ball, nose tackle
Kohlton Tegeler recorded one tackle for a loss of three yards in his first start at FLC. Â
Kaimon Ontiveros led the Skyhawks in tackles with nine (five solo). Â One of his tackles went for a stop of two yards. Â Also charting his first career start for the Skyhawks was
Daniel Walker, who was second on the team in tackles with six (five solo). Â
FLC's 4-2-5 defensive unit features
Shane Nelson and
Andrew Ike at linebacker. Â Ike moved over to the defensive side of the ball after playing wide receiver in 2014. Â
The Skyhawks secondary of
Theo Chambers,
Daniel Walker and
Amery Duncan boasts speed and experience.
The offensive front line is the most experienced group for the Skyhawks. Â
Tyler Jones,
Taylor Suta and
Kenny Shinley have combined to start 49 games. Â Accompanying them on the front line is
Preston Geib and
Matt Mahe, both of whom redshirted in 2014.
Sophomore tight end
Austin Shaw played in 10 games as a true freshman. Â His versatility to block and catch complement the Skyhawks passing game.
Senior quarterback
Jordan Doyle is in his third year under center. Â Doyle saw action in eight games last year before missing the final three games to an injury. Â He completed 151 passes on 272 attempts for 10 touchdowns and 1,509 yards, averaging 188.6 passing yards per game.

Juquelle Thompson.
In the backfield for the Skyhawks is sophomore
PJ Hall who rushed for over 700 yards as a freshman. Â
The 2015 season marks
John L. Smith's third season on the Skyhawks sideline and 21st overall as a head coach. Â
Fort Lewis College senior defensive lineman
Sione Folaumoeloa was selected to the 2015 Preseason All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference team. Â
As a team, the Skyhawks received 27 points, placing them eighth in the RMAC Football preseason poll.

A six-foot, 230-pound lineman from Salt Lake City, Folaumoeloa started all 11 games last season for the Skyhawks. Â He accounted for 51 tackles, including 26 solo stops. Â Folaumoeloa led the team with 12 tackles for a loss of 45 yards.Â

The Skyhawks finished the 2014 campaign with a 3-8 overall record and a 2-7 league record, tying for ninth place in the league standings. Â Fort Lewis' season was highlighted by a 23-22 home win over Colorado State University-Pueblo, then ranked No. 2 in the nation. Â The ThunderWolves would go on to win the NCAA Division II National Championship.
