DURANGO, Colo. – October 21, 2016 –
Sean Cleary headed in the game-winning goal from
Raul Pescador's corner kick at 32:27 to lead the Fort Lewis College men's soccer team to a 2-0 win at home over Colorado Christian University Friday afternoon.
The win lifts the Skyhawks to 8-6-1 overall and 7-3-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. It also marks the Skyhawks fourth shutout this season.
The goal was Cleary's second of the season.
Tamino Kroeger added an insurance goal after he and
Martin Lopez exchanged several passes from 15 yards out. Kroeger's fifth goal of the season came at 42:31.
FLC outshot the Cougars, 29-5, including 15-2 in the first half.
Salifu Jatta and
Raul Pescador each attempted five shots with two landing on goal.
Churchill Onumonu and Kroeger added three shots each.
Elliot Chadderton made two saves in goal to improve to 8-5-1 on the year.
FLC will play host to Colorado School of Mines on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The game will mark the Skyhawks final home game of the season. FLC's five seniors –

Tamino Kroeger will be recognized prior to kickoff.
