Skyhawks Fall in Last Regular Season Game, 1-0

DURANGO, Colo. – October 30, 2016 – For the second straight game, the Fort Lewis College women's soccer team was shutout at home, 1-0.  The Skyhawks fell to Colorado Christian University Sunday afternoon in the final game of the regular season.
 
The loss drops the Skyhawks to 6-8-2 overall and 5-6-1 in league games.  With the win, CCU qualified for the RMAC championship tournament for the first time in 20 years.
 
The lone goal of the game was scored at 83:16 by Hannah Triem who cleaned up two shot attempts that were blocked by the Skyhawks defense.  The third shot attempt was scored from five yards out on the right side of the goal for Triem's first goal of the season.
 
FLC dominated the shots, outshooting CCU, 17-10.  Both teams landed four shots on goal. 
 
Renee Terrell led FLC with three shots, while both of Courtney Riley's shot attempts were on target.
 
Kaylee Mickens played all 90 minutes in goal making three saves.
 
The Skyhawks will await their seed for the RMAC championship tournament after all of today's soccer games conclude.  The bracket will be announced later this evening from the conference office.
