DURANGO, Colo. – October 7, 2016 – It took only 35 seconds into the first overtime period for Colorado State University-Pueblo to break a 0-0 tie, handing the Fort Lewis College men's team a 1-0 loss Friday afternoon at Dirks Field.
The loss moves FLC to 6-6-0 overall and 5-3-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (2-4-0 at home). The win was only the second of the league season for the Pack, as they move to 4-7-0 overall and 2-5-0 in the RMAC.
Miles Sanchez headed in the game-winning goal from Lorenz Delaney at 90:35.
After outshooting the Pack in the first half, 10-4, the Skyhawks were out-shot 10-3 in the final 46 minutes.
Elliot Chadderton made six saves in goal, four of which came in the second half.
Tamino Kroeger and
Churchill Onumonu each recorded two shot attempts with two landing on goal.
The Skyhawks will travel to Colorado Christian University on Oct. 14, and Colorado School of Mines on Oct. 16.
