Box Score GOLDEN, Colo. – November 25, 2016 – A new school record was set Friday afternoon as the Fort Lewis College men's basketball team defeated Diné College in Golden, Colo., 117-33. The 33 points are the fewest a FLC men's basketball team has allowed in program history, breaking the previous record of 43 points against Chadron State on Dec. 30, 2011. The 84 point margin of victory is also the fourth largest in school history.
"We're looking forward to tomorrow's game," said head coach
Bob Pietrack. "We're playing against a team that has already beat a couple RMAC teams. It should be a really good test for us and a good tune up before we go into league play."
All 14 Skyhawks netted at least two points against Diné, with six players scoring in double figures.
Daniel Hernandez made 5-of-7 field goals for 14 points in just 10 minutes of action.
Jalen Terry also sank 5-of-7 field goals for 14 points.
Dontez Thomas, who led the team with 23 minutes of playing time, added 13 points and tied Terry for a team high four assists.

Brandon Book each chipped in 11 points. Nine of Book's points came from three-point range.
Kane Martinez pulled down a game high seven rebounds. He added three steals, three assists, two points and a blocked shot.
The Skyhawks started the game shooting 63.6 percent from the floor in the first half. FLC finished the game making 40-of-68 field goals for 58.8 percent.
FLC held an 11-rebound advantage, 43-32 and committed 14 fewer fouls, 12-26.
The Skyhawks will face Wayland Baptist University on Saturday at 3 p.m.
