DURANGO, Colo. – December 17, 2016 – The Fort Lewis College men's basketball team won their 24
th straight home game Saturday night with a 90-83 win over Westminster College. The win improves the 18
th-ranked Skyhawks to 11-1 overall, also marking their 11st straight win of the season. FLC is the only undefeated team in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference with a 6-0 record.
Joshua Blaylock scored 14 of his game high 25 points in the second half. He was perfect from the free throw line after making all 14 attempts and added nine points from long range.
Brandon Wilson notched his third double-double of the season with a 14-point, 12-rebound performance. He also dished out five assists and blocked one shot.
After scoring only three points in the first half,
Rasmus Bach finished the game with 17 points, six rebounds and six assists.
Daniel Hernandez came off the bench to score 15 points after making 7-of-9 from the floor.
For the eighth time this season, the Skyhawks shot better than 50 percent from the floor. FLC nailed 29-of-52 field goals for 55.8 percent. The 47.1 percent shooting mark from long range was the 10
th time in 11 games FLC made at least 40 percent from three-point range.
FLC outscored the Griffins in the paint (30-26), off of turnovers (16-12), on the fast break (9-6) and the bench (29-15).
The Skyhawks will return to competition Dec. 30-31 at Chadron State College and Regis University.
