DURANGO, Colo. – February 12, 2016 – Thirteen Fort Lewis College women's basketball players saw action Friday night and 11 scored at least one point at Whalen Gymnasium as the Skyhawks rolled past Western State Colorado University, 75-43. The 43 points are the fewest points allowed by the Skyhawks this season.
FLC shot a solid 47.5 percent from the floor (29-of-61) and held the Mountaineers to 25.9 field goal percentage.
The Skyhawks jumped to a 22-6 lead after the 10 minutes of action and led 40-20 at halftime. The Skyhawks led the entire game and grabbed their largest lead of 34 points with 37 seconds left in regulation.
Five Skyhawks scored in double figures and were led by
Astrea Reed's 13 points.
Emily McCue came off the bench to net 12 points after making 4-of-6 field goals, 2-of-3 three-pointers and both free throws.
Ande Lampert recorded her first career double-double. Lampert tied a career high 10 points and grabbed a career high 10 rebounds.
Dallas Dickerson and
Alyssa Yocky each poured in 10 points.
The Skyhawks will play host to Colorado State University-Pueblo Saturday night at 5:30 p.m.
