Quick Hits

The Fort Lewis College men's basketball team is set to host Colorado State University-Pueblo Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinal round of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championship tournament.

The Skyhawks are the No. 1 seed in the championship tournament after securing their fifth RMAC regular season championship.

FLC closed out the regular season with a 24-3 overall record and a 19-3 league record.  The 24 wins are the most wins in a regular season, and it ties the most wins ever in program history.

The Skyhawk are undefeated at home this season at 14-0.

The 2016 RMAC championship tournament marks the 15th straight season the Skyhawks have qualified for the conference tournament.  In 33 games, the Skyhawks own a 19-14 record in the conference tournament.

This is only the second time the Skyhawks have been the No. 1 seed.  The last time was 2008 when FLC won the championship tournament.

Tuesday's meeting against the ThunderWolves is the third straight year the teams have faced each other in the quarterfinal round.  FLC is 2-1 all-time against CSU-Pueblo in the tournament.

FLC defeated CSU-Pueblo both games during the regular season.  The Skyhawks earned an 87-76 win at CSUP in the first meeting, followed by a 99-85 win on Feb. 13 at home.  The Pack enter the weekend 16-12 overall and 12-10 in the RMAC.  CSUP is 2-3 in their last five games.

If the Skyhawks win Tuesday night, FLC will host the RMAC Final Four Tournament March 4-5.
