The Fort Lewis College women's basketball team closed out the regular season with a home win against Adams State University (W, 75-62). The Skyhawks have recorded their 14th straight winning season (2002-03).

The Skyhawks clinched the No. 8 seed (17-10 overall, 13-9 RMAC) and will play at No. 1 seed Colorado School of Mines (21-5, 19-3 RMAC) on Tuesday, March 1 in the RMAC quarterfinal round. Both teams will be squaring off against each other for the third time this season. The Orediggers won the first two regular season meetings.

The Skyhawks have qualified for the RMAC Tournament for the past 15 straight seasons. The 2015-16 season marks the 24th year of the RMAC women's basketball tournament. FLC has qualified 17 of the 24 times and they own a 15-14 overall record in the tournament with two tournament titles (2011, 2012).
