RAPID CITY, S.D. – September 16, 2016 – Matisse Monty recorded 14 kills and hit .344 at the net to lead the Fort Lewis College volleyball team to a 3-1 win at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology Friday night.  The win snaps a seven game losing streak as FLC moves to 2-7 overall and 1-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
 
FLC lost the first set, 25-23, before winning the next three sets, -12, -18 and -15.  South Dakota Mines drops to 1-9 overall and 0-1 in league matches.
 
As a team, the Skyhawks hit .216 at the net behind 44 kills.  Hannah Martinez and Laine Waters each added seven kills.  Waters committed only one hitting error on 16 attempts for a .375 hitting mark.
 
Senior setter Delaney Scanlan added 34 assists, five kills and four digs.  Senior libero Ally Dell'Amico let both teams with 28 digs.
 
FLC will travel to Black Hills State University Saturday night.  First serve goes out at 5:30 p.m.
