DURANGO, Colo. – September 24, 2016 – Metropolitan State University, Denver handed the Fort Lewis College volleyball team a 3-0 loss Saturday night at Whalen Gymnasium. The loss drops the Skyhawks to 3-9 overall and 2-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Roadrunners improve to 9-3 (4-0 RMAC).
FLC trailed the Roadrunners 20-12 in the opening set but out-scored MSUD 17-7 before dropping the set, 27-25. The Skyhawks lost the following two sets, 25-18 and 25-19.
Maddie LeBlanc notched eight kills and hit .250 at the net, followed by
Hannah Martinez' eight kills.
Delaney Scanlan finished the match with 27 assists and seven digs. Libero
Ally Dell'Amico posted 15 digs followed by Martinez' 12 digs.
The Roadrunners Michaela Smith led both teams with 18 kills.
FLC will play host to Colorado Mesa on Sept. 30 at 7 p.m., and Western State on Oct. 1 at 5 p.m.
