Skyhawks Hit the Road for Single Game at CCU

UPCOMING GAMES
The Fort Lewis College men's basketball team will play on the road against Colorado Christian University on Saturday at 3 p.m. The game will be played at the CCU Event Center in Lakewood, Colo.
 
NOTES
The Skyhawks enter the weekend first in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference with a 12-2 record (17-3 overall).
 
FLC's 17-3 start is the fourth time in program history they won 17 of their first 20 games (2004-05, 2007-08 and 2015-16).
 
After being ranked No. 21 in the National Association Basketball Coaches Division II poll, the Skyhawks move up in the poll this week. FLC received 162 points and are now ranked No. 16 in Division II.
 
Fort Lewis continued their home winning streak this past weekend with wins against Regis University (89-81) and Chadron State College (87-64). FLC has extended their home winning streak to 28 games. The 28-game winning streak is the sixth best active home winning streak in NCAA Division II (Kentucky Wesleyan-41, Bellarmine-36, Northwest Missouri State-30, West Liberty-29, and Barry University-29).
 
The Skyhawks boast the top two scorers in the RMAC. Joshua Blaylock leads all scorers with 19.5 points per game, followed by Rasmus Bach's 19.0 points per game scoring average.
 
Blaylock ranks second in the league in three-point field goals made (65) behind the Cougars Brett Brady (70).
 
Alex Semadeni leads the league in field goal percentage by draining 71.4 percent of his shots (65-of-91).
 
Will Morse is leading the league in assists with 108 (5.4 average) and a 4.0 assist/turnover ratio (108/27).
 
The Skyhawks have the league's best scoring offense (90.3 per game), scoring margin (plus 16.1 points per game), field goal percentage (52.5 percent), three-point field goal percentage (43.5 percent), and assists (17.9 average).
 
 
SCOUTING THE COUGARS
Colorado Christian University owns an 8-5 RMAC record, which is fifth in the league standings. The Cougars are 11-8 overall and 5-2 in home games this season.
 
Three of the top six scorers in the conference come from the Colorado Christian. Ty McGee leads the Cougars in scoring with 18.6 points per game (fourth in RMAC) and is followed by Brett Brady with 18.4 points per game (fifth in RMAC) and Dimitri Saliba at 17.5 points per game (sixth in RMAC).
 
CCU is shooting 41.9 percent from beyond the arc to rank second in the league trailing only Fort Lewis College (43.5 percent). The Cougars are second in the league with 184 three-point field goals made (9.7 per game) on the season.

The Skyhawks will head to New Mexico Highlands University and CSU-Pueblo on Feb. 3 and Feb. 4. Saturday's game against the ThunderWolves will be broadcast on live television by Comcast Entertainment Television (CET).
