Men’s Soccer Comes From Behind to Win at Regis, 2-1

DENVER, Colo. – October 13, 2017 – All three goals between the Fort Lewis College men's soccer team and Regis University were scored in the first 30 minutes of action Friday afternoon.  The Skyhawks (6-3-4, 6-1-2 RMAC) came from behind to earn a 2-1 win at Regis Match Pitch in Denver.
 
Regis scored in the seventh minute on Luca Kother's goal. 
 
Raul Pescador evened the game at 10:16 on a 25-yard free kick for his first goal of the season.  Churchill Onumonu and Coleman Kane connected for the game-winning goal at 29:03.  The game-winner was Onumonu's third goal of the season and second game-winning goal.
 
Peter Byrne earned his sixth win in goal after making three saves.
 
Regis outshot the Skyhawks, 14-9, and 4-3 shots on goal. 
 
Nicolas Perez, Onumonu and Pescador each attempted two shots.
 
FLC will travel to No. 15 Colorado School of Mines Sunday for a 12 p.m. match.
