GOLDEN, Colo. – October 28, 2017 – Playing in the final game of the 2017 regular season, the Fort Lewis College women's soccer team was shut out at No. 18 Colorado School of Mines Saturday afternoon, 6-0.
The loss sets the Skyhawks record to 4-10-1 overall and 4-8-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
FLC was held to only one shot in the game, which was attempted by
Payton Balduini.
Four of the Orediggers goals came in the first half.
The Skyhawks allowed 27 shots by Colorado Mines, 17 of which were on goal. The six goals scored on FLC are the most by any team since Oct. 19, 2012 (6-3 loss at Regis).
Ali Miller made 10 saves in goal as she played a complete game between the posts.
FLC is the eighth seed in the conference tournament and will open the tournament Oct. 31.
