PUEBLO, Colo. – October 28, 2017 – Trailing 2-1 at Colorado State University-Pueblo, the Fort Lewis College volleyball team came back to earn a road win, 3-2, Saturday night at Massari Arena.
The win improves the Skyhawks to 9-13 overall and 4-10 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The ThunderWolves move to 4-19 overall and 3-12 in league games.
As a team, the Skyhawks notched 17 blocks.
Laine Waters assisted on 10 blocks.
Audrey Stansberry notched eight blocks assists, and
Bailey Longacre and
Kendra Swackenberg each had six block assists.
FLC's offense was led by Maddie Leblanc's 19 kills,
Emily Dellenbach's 18 kills and Swackenberg's 49 set assists. Dellenbach finished the night with a .304 hitting mark while Swackenberg helped the Skyhawks to a .171 team hitting percentage.
LeBlanc and
Elise Hill each served two aces against the Pack.
Megan Graefe tallied 44 digs from the back line. Swackenberg added 24 and Hill posted 13 digs.
The Skyhawks will stay on the road next weekend when they play at Colorado Christian on Nov. 3 and Colorado Mines on Nov. 4.
