Box Score SALT LAKE CITY – December 15, 2017 – Westminster College gave No. 15 Fort Lewis College their first loss of the conference season Friday night, defeating the Skyhawks 90-75.
FLC moves to 8-2 overall and 5-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Griffins improve to 8-1 on the season and 4-1 in league games.
Daniel Hernandez led the Skyhawks offense with 18 points. Hernandez made all nine free throw attempts and 4-of-10 field goals while dishing out five assists.
Riley Farris made 5-of-8 field goals as part of his 14 points.
Marquel Beasley and
Rasmus Bach chipped in 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Westminster's Sam Orchard led all scorers with 26 points.
FLC finished the game shooting 46.3 percent from the floor (23-of-54), 31.3 percent from long range (5-of-16) and 76.9 percent from the charity stripe (20-of-26).
FLC will return home to Whalen Gymnasium to play host to Northern New Mexico College on Monday, Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m.
