LAS VEGAS, N.M. – December 2, 2017 – One night after suffering their first loss of the season, the No. 11 Fort Lewis College (5-1, 1-1 RMAC) women's basketball team bounced back to notch an 80-49 win at New Mexico Highlands University (3-4, 1-1 RMAC).
Jordan Carter scored a career high 14 points after making 5-of-8 field goals and 4-of-6 free throws.
Vivian Gray chipped in 11 points and dished out seven assists to go with her four rebounds.
Kayla Herrera rounded out the Skyhawks scoring in double figures. Herrera tallied 10 points, six assists and five rebounds.
Briana Clah grabbed a team high nine rebounds while netting eight rebounds and dishing out five assists.
As a team, FLC shot 44.8 percent from the floor (30-of-67), and 71.4 percent from the free throw line (15-of-21).
The Skyhawks held a 14-rebound advantage over the Cowgirls, 40-26.
NMHU's Ari Carter led all scorers with 17 points.
After a four game road wing, the Skyhawks will return to Whalen Gymnasium Dec. 8-9 to play host to Colorado Mesa University and Western State Colorado University.
