DURANGO, Colo. – December 8, 2017 – The Colorado Mesa University women's basketball team entered Friday's game at Whalen Gymnasium undefeated (8-0, 2-0 RMAC) but left with their first loss of the season. The 20
th ranked Skyhawks defeated CMU, 57-51.
The win improves FLC to 7-1 overall and 2-1 in league games, while keeping their home record unblemished this season at 4-0.
Astrea Reed poured in 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Skyhawks offensively. Reed made 8-of-24 from the floor and all five free throw attempts.
Vivian Gray added 14 points, eight caroms, two blocked shots and two steals.

Kelsey Wainright's eight points came from the charity stripe as she sank 6-of-8.
FLC led for nearly 29 minutes and never trailed by more than four points.
The Skyhawks held a 12-rebound advantage and outscored the Mavericks 13-2 on second chance points.
The Mavericks Erin Reichle led all scorers with 24 points.
Fort Lewis will play host to Western State Colorado University on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
