GOLDEN, Colo. – March 12, 2017 – For the third time this season, the Fort Lewis College men's basketball team fell to Colorado School of Mines. The No. 5 seed Skyhawks lost to the top seed Orediggers Sunday night in the semifinal round of the NCAA South Central Regional Tournament, 86-67.
The loss ends the Skyhawks season at 26-7 overall.
FLC's 16-point deficit at halftime (46-30) grew to as many as 29 points in the second half.
Joshua Blaylock paced FLC with 16 points.
Rasmus Bach and
Alex Semadeni each added 12 points. Bach dished out a team high five assists.
Riley Farris came off the bench to score 10 points.
Fort Lewis made 44.6 percent from the floor after netting 25-of-56 field goals.
CSM out-rebounded the Skyhawks, 39-24, including 12-6 on the offensive glass.
The 26 wins are the second most in program history, next to last season's 28 wins.
