DURANGO, Colo. – September 24, 2017 – For the second straight game at home, the Fort Lewis College women's soccer team lost a 1-0 decision. The Skyhawks fell to MSU Denver Sunday afternoon at Dirks Field.
With the setback, FLC drops to 1-5-1 on the season and 1-3-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Regina Banks scored the game-winning goal at 24:50 from Elisa Boisnard's assist.
The Skyhawks were outshot, 13-8. MSU Denver (4-4-0, 3-1-0 RMAC) attempted nine of their 13 shots in the second half.
Alicia Sanchez posted a game high five shots.
Mia Castaneda and
Courtney Wamboldt recorded both of FLC's shots on goal.
Ali Miller made six saves between the posts in 90 minutes of action.
FLC will continue their four game home stand Sept. 29 against UCCS, and Oct. 1 against Western State.
