GUNNISON, Colo. – September 29, 2017 – The Fort Lewis College volleyball team earned a 3-0 win Friday night at Western State Colorado University. The Skyhawks won in straight sets by scores of 25-22, 26-24 and 25-23.
With the match win, FLC improves to 7-6 overall and 2-3 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. WSCU falls to 1-13 on the season and 0-5 in league matches.
Two Skyhawks recorded double-digit kills against the Mountaineers.
Emily Dellenbach posted 11 kills and a .250 hitting mark, ahead of Baily Longacre's 10 kills.
Kendra Swackenberg posted 28 set assists, two digs, an ace and four digs.
Megan Graefe dug up 25 attacks.
Hannah Martinez chipped in nine digs and three kills while adding an ace.
FLC recorded a .128 hitting mark and putting down 35 kills.
The Skyhawks held WSCU to a .057 hitting percentage after blocking seven attacks and posting 71 digs.
Fort Lewis will conclude their four match road trip Saturday night at Colorado Mesa University.
