Peter Byrne made nine saves in goal as the Fort Lewis College men's soccer team drew a 0-0 double overtime tie against Texas A&M-International Sunday morning in a neutral site game in Wichita Falls, Texas.
The tie moves the Skyhawks to 0-1-1 on the season.
FLC played a man down in the 76
th minute. Nine minutes later, the Dust Devils received a red card, evening the field, 10-10.
Texas A&M-International received its second red card at 97:01, giving the Skyhawks a 10-9 advantage in the final 12:59 minutes of play.
The Dust Devils out shot FLC, 21-7 (9-4 shots on goal).
Raul Pescador led FLC with two shot attempts, both of which landed on goal.
The Skyhawks will open their home season September 8 against St. Mary's University. The game will begin at 3:30 p.m., following the Skyhawks women's soccer home opener against Angelo State University at 1 p.m.
