Men’s Basketball Continues Road Trip at Regis, Chadron State

  • The Fort Lewis College men's basketball team will be on the road to play Regis University and Chadron State. Friday's game will tip-off at 7 p.m. and Saturday's will start at 7:30 p.m.
  • The Rangers have earned a 12-4 overall record and a 6-4 RMAC record.
  • Saturday's opponent, Chadron State, holds a 1-10 record in the RMAC and 3-14 overall. The Eagles only win was against Colorado Christian.
  • Fort Lewis College dropped out of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) poll this week, but received 17 votes.
  • The Skyhawks were ranked for eight straight weeks in the NABC Top 25 poll.
  • The Skyhawks lead the RMAC in scoring offense (87.7 points per game), scoring margin (+10.9 points per game), defensive rebounds (448) and field goal percentage (50.5). The Skyhawks are second in the league in rebounding offense (second, 615), rebounding margin (second, +4.9), blocked shots per game (second, 4.5), total blocks (second, 69), assists per game (second, 16.6).
  • Senior Rasmus Bach has scored 1,643 career points.  He needs 218 points to break the all-time scoring record held by DeAndre Lansdowne (2007-11) who has 1,861 career points. Bach is currently fourth in the career books in scoring, second in made free throws (435), eighth in field goals made (554) and 10th in assists (278).
  • Through 15 games this season, Bach is in the top 10 in the RMAC for assists (fifth, 65), assists per game (fifth, 4.1), and minutes played (fourth, 550).
  • Brandon Wilson ranks in the top 10 in the league in rebounds per game (fifth, 7.4), and seventh in blocks per game (1.1).  He has been named the RMAC Defensive Player of the Week twice this season (Jan. 1, 2018 and Dec. 11, 2017).
  • Marquel Beasley is currently eighth in the RMAC in rebounds (7.0), third in field goal percentage (57.0), and seventh in blocked shots per game (1.1), total blocks (17).
  • Riley Farris is within the top ten the RMAC for field goal percentage (tenth, 54.2) and blocked shots per game (ninth, 0.9).
  •  FLC returns to Whalen Gymnasium to face Colorado Christian on Jan. 27 at 3 p.m.
