Skyhawks Play First RMAC Road Series at MSU Denver

  • The Fort Lewis College softball team will travel to MSU Denver to play their first road games of the conference season.  The Skyhawks will play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 12 p.m., and a doubleheader on Sunday at 11 a.m.  All four games will be played at the Regency Athletic Complex.
     
  • The Skyhawks enter the weekend with a 7-15 overall record.  FLC is 10th in the RMAC standings at 1-7.
     
  • The Roadrunners own a 6-14 overall record, and are tied for eighth in the league with a 3-5 record.
     
  • Fort Lewis is ranked in the top five in the RMAC in multiple categories including leading the league in plate appearances (655), at-bats (566), innings pitched (138.2), and putouts (416).  FLC is second in the RMAC in walks (66), and third in striking out batters looking (93) and fielding percent (.948).  The Skyhawks 28 stolen bases and 36 stolen base attempts are the fourth most in the league.
     
  • Mandy Lorenson has struck out 16 batters looking this season, the third most in the RMAC.
     
  • Angelique Elemen leads the league in at-bats (70) and is second in total plate appearances (77).
     
  • Denae Fisher is a 15-for-16 in stolen bases, the third most in the league in attempts and stolen bases.  She has drawn a league high 17 walks.
     
  • The Skyhawks will return to Denver March 17-18 when then face Regis University for a four-game series.
