Neal Paces Men’s Golf at Mustang Intercollegiate

GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Eric Neal compiled rounds of one over and then one under during the first day of the Mustang Intercollegiate to lead the Fort Lewis College men's golf team into a tie for 18^th at the par 72, 7,015-yard Palm Valley Golf Club course.

FLC as a team opened with a 297 and then added a second round 292 for a 589 to tie with Westminster for 18^th, just two shots back of Holy Names in 17^th. Colorado School of Mines leads the 23-team field with a 555, two-strokes ahead of Chico State.

Neal posted rounds of 73 and 71 for a 144 to tie for 41^st. He leads the team in par-four scoring (3.95) and is tied for the team lead in pars with 22. He also added seven birdies. Austin Lienemann is just a few shots back as he came on strong after opening with a 76, he fired a 70 for a 146 to sit in a tie for 57^th. He leads the team in par-five scoring at 4.25 and is tied for the team lead in par-three at 3.25. Lienemann is also tied with Neal for the team lead in pars at 22 and is also tied with Neal in birdies with seven. Darren Edwards shot consistent rounds of 74 for a 148 to tie for 77^th. Edwards is tied with Lienemann for the team lead in par-three scoring at 3.25 and is tied with both Neal and Lienemann in birdies with seven. Blake Kuzava compiled scores of 74 and 77 to card a 151 and is tied for 97^th. He leads the team in birdies with eight. Rounding out the five for the Skyhawks was Jack Call who fired the same rounds of 78 for a 156 to sit in 113^th. Call has sunk 21 pars through the first two rounds. Cristoffer Rudosky competed as an individual for FLC as he tallied scores of 73 and 77 for a 150 to tie for 91^st. He's tied with Neal and Lienemann for the team lead in pars with 22.
