AMARILLO, Texas – The Fort Lewis men's golf team shot a third-round 295 (+11) to tie for 14th place on an overall score of 899 (+47) at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational Tuesday afternoon down at Amarillo Country Club.

The Skyhawks dropped one stroke between rounds two (294, +10) and three, but the 15-stroke improvement from round one's 310 (+26) was enough to climb into a tie with Texas A&M International University in the final round, as both sides finished at 899 (+47) overall.

Freshman Mateo Berastegui was Fort Lewis' lone representative inside the top-50 in the 90-player event, with the Brophy College Preparatory graduate out of Phoenix, Ariz., turning in a 75 (+4) after his final trip around the 6,937-yard, par-71 course to capture T-48 on a 219 (+6) total. Berastegui recorded four bogeys or worse on the final day, and made six birdies in the tournament, good for the second-most on the team.
