Brandon Crosby has interim title lifted; named Head Football Coach

DURANGO, Colorado — On Tuesday, the Fort Lewis College Department of Athletics announced that is has elevated Brandon Crosby from his Interim Head Football Coach title to Head Football Coach of the Skyhawks program.

Crosby, who spent the 2018 as the team's Offensive Coordinator, took over the reins of the football program in January of 2019 following the departure of Joe Morris.

The Skyhawks are currently 1-1 overall heading into this Saturday's 12 p.m. home matchup against Chadron State College.

"Since my arrival on campus, Coach Crosby has been a tremendous leader, a tireless worker and has conducted himself with the utmost integrity," said Brandon Leimbach, Fort Lewis College Director of Athletics. "I am confident in his ability to take FLC football to the next level competitively, while also preparing our student-athletes for a lifetime of achievement beyond collegiate athletics."

Crosby came to Durango after spending a season at the University of Nevada as the team's Quarterbacks Quality Control Coach and a graduate assistant in charge of wide receivers.

Prior to Nevada, Crosby was a receivers coach and recruiting coordinator at West Texas A&M University from 2016-17.  Before WTA&MU, he was the running backs coach at LaGrange College, receivers and tight ends coach at Saddleback College, and receivers, running backs and tight ends coach at Willamette University.

"I'm very honored and excited for the future," Crosby said. "There's no place I'd rather be and I'm excited about what we're building."
