DURANGO, Colo. – After an undefeated 4-0 start to the season featuring a 3-0 record against South Central Regional opponents, the Fort Lewis College men's basketball team finds itself at No. 25 on the first regular season National Association of Basketball Coaches Top 25 poll.

Fort Lewis is undefeated through four games to open the season for the first time since 2019-20 after besting Lone Star Conference Opponents Eastern New Mexico University, Angelo State University, and University of Texas Permian Basin alongside Northern New Mexico College.

Averaging 88.8 points per game, the Skyhawks boast the third-highest scoring offense in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and the 26th-highest offense in the country.

Spearheading the Fort Lewis offense and fresh off a 45-point record-breaking performance last week against Texas Permian Basin is Akuel Kot. The six-foot-two junior from Amarillo, Texas, now stands as the third-highest scorer in the country with an average of 28.8 points per game.

Leading the list of RMAC programs on this week's poll is Black Hills State University at No. 6. Trailing just behind the Yellow Jackets is Colorado School of Mines at No. 13. Both programs are off to an identical 4-0 start to the Skyhawks.
