Skyhawks athletics announces themes, promotions for remainder of home basketball contests

DURANGO, Colo. – The Fort Lewis College department of athletics is excited to announce the themes, sponsors, and special events for the remainder of the men's and women's home basketball dates.

The fun will begin this Saturday when the men's and women's teams host Western Colorado University for an RMAC showdown. The doubleheader will be "Whalen Winter Wonderland" themed, sponsored by A&L Coors. Fans are invited to dress in festive holiday attire and take photos with "Durango Santa" who will be in the lobby from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

The Student Athlete-Advisory Committee will be in the lobby as well, collecting non-perishable food items to benefit the FLC Grub Hub. The Grub Hub is a student-led, basic needs justice organization committed to serving everyone—students, graduate students, staff, faculty, and community members—by breaking down the stigma behind food and housing security.

Tickets for Home Basketball Games
Fort Lewis is happy to announce that all home basketball games will have tickets available for purchase online through Primo Ticketing. Fans that are unable to purchase online will be able to purchase tickets with a credit card at the ticket booth. There will be indoor and outdoor ticket windows available for quick, seamless admission to games.

The ticketing area has a new home this season, part of the ongoing construction and upgrades within the Whalen Gymnasium Lobby and Health Sciences building. If you are joining us for a home game, you will be directed to the south set of doors where you will find windows to the ticketing office.

Free Admission for Native Americans
New this year, Fort Lewis College athletics will offer free admission to all regular season home athletic events for Native Americans with a Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) card or Tribal Identification Card. The motion is an effort to welcome more of our local communities to campus to support the blue and gold and experience college athletics, academics, and everything that the Skyhawks experience has to offer.

Skyhawks Club Hospitality
Skyhawks Club members are welcome to enjoy the game in the new hospitality area this season. Located in the Whalen Gymnasium lobby, members will have a chance to grab free food and drink without missing a minute of action. Doors to the gym are open for viewing with prime-time high top seating available at the western end line. In addition to the courtside seating, chairback seats in the north bleachers will be reserved for select Skyhawks Club members.
