The trio of Riley Bravin, Gabi Meraz-Fishbein, and Rachel Peebles earned CSC Academic All-District honors

Women's soccer sees three named to CSC Academic All-District team

DURANGO, Colo. -- The College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly known as CoSIDA, have released their At-Large Academic All-District teams with three Fort Lewis College women's soccer players among those honored.

Making the All-District team are senior Riley Bravin, junior Gabi Meraz-Fishbein, and sophomore Rachel Peebles.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

 
Riley Bravin

Senior Riley Bravin has been named to the CSC At-Large Academic All-District Team

Bravin, a 2023 RMAC First Team All-Academic honoree, is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Human Services with a 3.59 GPA. She enters her final season as one of the program's most prolific goalkeepers, ranking first in program history in career goals against average at .51. In 2023, Bravin combined for 10 shutouts and led the conference with a .31 goals against average.

 
Gabi Meraz-Fishbein

Junior Gabi Meraz-Fishbein has been named to the CSC At-Large Academic All-District Team

Meraz-Fishbein was also recognized as an RMAC First Team All-Academic award winner this season with an unblemished 4.0 GPA while studying Public Health. A Second Team All-RMAC performer on the pitch, the junior scored four goals and ranked fourth on the team in minutes played. She will enter her senior season having started in 48 career games.

 
Rachel Peebles

Sophomore Rachel Peebles has been named to the CSC At-Large Academic All-District Team

Peebles was named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll in her sophomore season with a 3.95 GPA in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. A dependable defender throughout her career, Peebles stepped her game up in 2023. She played and started in all 19 matches and recorded 1555 minutes on the field. For her efforts, Fort Lewis ranked fourth in the conference in goals against average at .79 after allowing just 15 goals through 19 matches—the best mark since 2015.

Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
