DURANGO, Colo. – The No.14-ranked Skyhawks men's soccer team (4-0-5, 0-0-1 RMAC) is back up on the rim this weekend for a pair of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference contests as Fort Lewis welcomes South Dakota Mines (1-7-1, 1-0-1 RMAC) on Friday at 7 p.m. for its annual Nike N7 match followed by Regis (3-2-5, 2-0 RMAC) on Sunday at 2:30 pm. for a Pink Weekend match.

Nike N7 Match
Since its creation in 2009, the Nike N7 Fund has awarded over $7.5 million in grants to 259 Native American and Aboriginal communities and organizations, reaching more than 500,000 youths. The N7 Fund supports organizations that provide sports and physical activity programming to youth in these communities. Fort Lewis College is honored to be one of just 11 institutions nationwide selected to participate in the games. The Skyhawks will have N7 t-shirts, as well as 50 vuvuzelas, to throw out to fans before the match. At halftime, Fort Lewis will also honor its Indigenous student-athletes from its cross-country and track and field teams.

Pink Weekend
Sunday's match will feature the second and third of four total games from Saturday, Oct. 12 to Tuesday, Oct. 15, in celebration of Pink Weekend presented by CommonSpirit, Alpine Bank, and The Wells Group and Durango Team. Mercy Sports Medicine t-shirts, as well as Pink Weekend wristbands, will be thrown out to the crowd ahead of kick-off. In addition, the Skyhawks will be handing out 100 blue-out t-shirts in preparation for its Blue Out match against Westminster (4-4-2, 1-1 RMAC) on Friday, Nov. 1.

Numbers to Know
Fort Lewis owns the third-best offense in the conference, averaging 1.8 goals per game, while also posting the league's second-best defense with a 0.89 goals-against average and an RMAC-leading four shutouts. Sophomore goalkeeper Lucas Martin leads the conference and sits second in the region with an 81.4 percent save percentage alongside a 0.889 goals-against average. David Citron leads the roster and sits fourth in the RMAC with nine total points on two goals and five assists. Tomas Duenes has added three goals to his name, with Gabriel Legendre, Fabrizio Aguilera, and Theo Bergman supplying another two goals each.

Rolling Hardrockers
South Dakota Mines is coming off its best week of the season following a 2-1 victory over Westminster and a 1-1 draw with Colorado Mesa (3-4-2, 0-1-1 RMAC), who was receiving votes on last week's United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll. Before last week, the Hardrockers had lost seven consecutive matches to begin the season. SDM is averaging 0.78 goals per game against a 2.67 goals-against average. Only seven goals have been scored by the Hardrockers this season, each from a different player, with Jayden Roque providing the lone assist on the year as well. Four different goalkeepers have seen action between the posts, but it's Daniel Freitas who leads the pack with eight starts in nine matches with a 1-5-1 record, 57.1 save percentage, and 3.24 goals-against average against 83 shots faced.

Rowdy Rangers
Regis will make its way to Durango following a stop in Alamosa, Colo., to take on Adams State (2-4-1, 0-1 RMAC) today at 3 p.m. The Rangers, much like the Hardrockers, are coming off a big 2-0 week with a pair of 4-2 and 3-0 victories over the Mavericks and Griffins. After battling to a draw in four of its first five matches, Regis has since gone 3-1 against RMAC opponents. Edging opponents with 1.40 goals per game against a 1.00 goals-against average, RU is led by senior Elias Taubo who owns four goals and four assists for 12 points thus far. Liam Corr is the next man up with three goals and three assists, followed by Ignacio Bellina and Jacobo Betancourt-Tovar who have added three goals and three assists, respectively.

Season Defining Matchups
Next week marks the Skyhawks toughest and most critical pair of matches so far. Fort Lewis will open the week at No. 4-ranked University of Colorado Colorado Springs (8-0-2, 1-0-1 RMAC) on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m., followed by a rematch at No. 9-ranked CSU Pueblo (7-2-1, 2-0 RMAC) on Sunday, Oct. 20, at 2:30 p.m.
