BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The Fort Lewis College men's and women's golf teams both captured fifth place among their respective fields at the 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Golf Championships at Boulder Creek Golf Club, led by a pair of fifth-place and eighth-place finishes from Traejan Andrews and Peyton Gibby, respectively.

Due to unplayable conditions at Boulder Creek, the third and final rounds of the tournament were played as stipulated nine-hole rounds per the United States Golf Association (USGA). The championships were declared complete after 45 holes. At Boulder Creek Golf Club, the men's championship spanned the Coyote and Desert Hawk rotation, stretching 7,428 yards with a rating of 75.8 and a slope of 142. The women's championship tackled the Eldorado and Coyote Run rotation, spanning 6,055 yards with a rating of 68.0 and a slope of 117.

Battling high winds, the Fort Lewis women turned in a 160 (+16), adding to their first-round 305 (+17) and second-round 312 (+24), to finish at 777 (+57) overall and hold off Chadron State College and Metropolitan State University of Denver, who tied for sixth at 783 (+63) overall. Fourth-place Colorado Mesa University edged the Skyhawks comfortably by 19 strokes with a 758 (+38) team total. No. 28-ranked Colorado State University Pueblo captured the team title with a 25-over-par 745.

Westminster's Ashley Lam captured the individual title, going two-over with a 74 in round one and a 38 in the final round, paired with a 69 (-3) in round two, the lowest individual round in the women's field, to win by one stroke with a 181 (+1). Gibby, who captured 10th-place in her first appearance at the conference championships last season, improved on her marks as the sophomore reeled off a 74 (+2), 75 (+3), and 40 (+4), to finish T-8 with a 189 (+9) total. Gibby managed seven birdies and 25 pars.

Senior Dimery Plewe paced another trio of Skyhawks inside the top 25, with the Cortez, Colo., native turning in a 40 (+4), paired with back-to-back 77s (+5), to capture T-18 with a 194 (+14) on her scorecard. Sophomore Isabel Bustillos and freshman Ellie White trailed close behind, both securing T-24 on a pair of 17-over 197s.

Rounding out the Fort Lewis women were freshman Kathryn Moores in T-41 with a 27-over 207, and Annika Gutierrez in 44th after shooting a 29-over 209. In total, the Skyhawks scored 29 birdies and 137 pars, with 135 bogeys or worse, to average scores of 3.35 on par threes, 4.60 on par fours, and 5.30 on par fives.

On the men's side, the final round proved challenging as the Skyhawks fired a 10-over 154, cutting its lead after opening with 276 (-12) and 286 (-2) to fall three spots and take fifth overall with a 716 (-4) team total. Andrews, a redshirt junior and Fort Lewis' leader in scoring average this season, went one-over in the final round, turning in a 37 to slide into sole possession of fifth place with a 175 (-5) total for the tournament. Andrews racked up 11 birdies and 28 pars against just six bogeys.
