4/6/2026 3:56:00 PM

DURANGO, Colo. -- Durango's annual Squawker home race weekend brought together Rocky Mountain Collegiate Cycling Conference teams and local legends for an unforgettable few days. This year, the weather was on our side, creating ideal conditions for both racing and spectating.

Saturday featured the downtown criterium and block party. The races were fast, technical, and highly team-driven. It was awesome to see the community come out to spectate, cheer, and race. Durango's strong community is one of the many things that makes it so special, and this event was a great way to bring everyone together. A big thank you goes out to all of our volunteers—this weekend wouldn't have been possible without them.

In the collegiate men's Cat 4/5 race, mountain biker Landen Stovall delivered an outstanding performance, lapping the field en route to the win.

In the collegiate women's Cat 4/5 race, Fort Lewis controlled the front for much of the day but fell just short in the sprint finish. Stella Scholtz led the team with a 5th-place result.

Ethan Hemphill stayed active at the front of the collegiate men's Cat 3/4 race throughout the day, finishing 2nd in a group sprint.

The collegiate women's Cat 1/2/3/open race saw an early break of four riders that included FLC's Oona Nelson. After a CSU rider was dropped, Nelson rode solo for much of the race, ultimately earning an impressive 3rd-place finish after 60 minutes of racing. Behind her, Charlotte Lehman placed 6th and Caroline Haag finished 8th.

Sunday's action began with an early morning road race, starting with the collegiate men's 1/2/3/open field. Cooper Magnum launched an early attack, joined by Tayne Andrade. The pair worked together for most of the race to hold off the field, with Magnum taking the win.

In the collegiate women's 1/2/3/open race, the pace was high from the start. An early break formed with local rider Michaela Thompson and a CMU competitor, while a chase group included FLC riders Charlotte Lehman and Oona Nelson, with Caroline Haag close behind.
